Goal

This project is raising funds to provide 200 dignity packs to support 10 children and youth with disabilities for 6 months in the Masiphumelele and Lavender Hill communities. Dignity packs consist of essential items such as nappies, linen savers and wet wipes, which are an unseen element of disability support and are truly life-changing.

At The Chaeli Campaign, we see dignity in the everyday moments that allow someone to show up fully in their life. Access to nappies and incontinence or hygiene products may seem simple, but they are essential for comfort, health, confidence, and inclusion. When these needs go unmet because of cost, it can quietly limit independence and participation, keeping people from school, work, and community spaces. For us, supporting these essentials is about more than care, it is about dignity, choice, and ensuring that every disabled person has the freedom to live a full, included, and purposeful life.

In Masiphumelele and Lavender Hill, many families are caring for children and youth with disabilities in environments where access to healthcare, therapy, and ongoing support is limited. For many, something as simple as getting to a clinic is a challenge. As a result, health needs often go unmet, small concerns escalate, and caregivers are left to navigate complex realities on their own.
