Funding Update: iThemba Projects
Thank you! iThemba Projects does great work within their community and their project “Early Childhood Centres of Hope” is fully funded! With these funds, they will provide training for two teachers to work in an ECD centre, which will give 40 disadvantaged children access to education.

Like many other young people in Diepsloot, Thabisile was desperate to find employment. Before starting the Diepsloot Foundation carpentry course she was enrolled for a course on life skills although her prospects of finding employment were not great. Her love for using her hands and working on her own led her to the Diepsloot Foundation. She had heard of the carpentry training supplied by the foundation through her aunt, whose daughter also attended the course. The course offers Thabisile the skills and support structures to work independently and make a living for her family.
After completing the course she wants to open her own business to provide quality wood products to her community as well as use her skills to help those around her.
