This project will provide the materials needed for future carpentry tradesmen to complete their carpentry course and either start their own business or become employable. 

The Diepsloot Foundation carpentry school has become the poster child of the foundation with an ever growing lengthy waiting list in place highlighting its popularity within the Diepsloot community. The school was established to offer our Adult Educational Training (AET) learners an additional learning path after they had acquired enhanced numeracy and literacy skills, thus making them more employable.


Developing Diepsloot

The Diepsloot Foundation is a Public Benefit Organisation, formed by St Mungo's United Church with the objective of channelling funds, skills and resources into sustainable projects that will benefit and build the competencies of individuals and groupings within the Diepsloot community. The intention is to build a significant fund that is focused on delivering the dreams of selected individuals with potential, identifiable within the Diepsloot community.
