The funds raised by this project will be used to sponsor 30 Grade 6 learners from Cascade Primary School in Mitchell’s Plain to attend an experiential learning camp at Bridges Retreat Centre in Franschhoek, providing a life-impacting outdoor education experience that they would otherwise never have. Aligned to the national curriculum, the Outdoor Education Programme fosters cognitive, social-emotional, spiritual, and physical growth while developing values and leadership skills.
We are raising funds to give children from under-resourced communities access to life-changing outdoor education experiences they would otherwise never have.
Many South African learners face poverty, overcrowded schools, and limited opportunities to build confidence, resilience and leadership skills. The Bridges Outdoor Education Programme provides fully funded, curriculum-aligned camps for Grade 5–7 learners from no-fee schools in the Western Cape.
