Orange Farm Entrepreneurs & Flying Agents

There is hope for South Africa. We need change and it’s coming from our youngsters. The crazy ones who often defy their families and live on very little to start businesses that will transform Orange Farm. It’s not easy but through sleepless nights this group of remarkable entrepreneurs are building a platform and a legacy for those to come.

Fully Funded Projects

Last week was a very exciting week – we had two of our projects fully funded! Futurelife Foundation and Wildlands are collaborating to bring nutrition to Silwanetshe Primary School, Northern KZN. They will also to educating the learners on nutrition, recycling and incentivise them to make a difference by supplying “green” school desks to a classroom at the end of the project.

The funds raised for Ethembeni Project‘s project will support 360 children from Grade R to Grade 12 with curriculum preparation, life skills assessments, coordination of volunteers, home visits, hosting of fun events, activity-related administration and leadership support. Thank you to everyone who supported these projects!

Different Payroll Giving

We believe that all South Africans are philanthropists at heart. That is why we came up with an idea to make giving easy. We call it Different Payroll Giving. Different Payroll Giving is a programme that allows employees to donate a portion of pre-tax salary to a charity project of their choice on Different.org. It is a means of making philanthropy easy and a means of empowering the philanthropist in all of us.

Photos of the Week: Flying For Life

A couple of weeks ago Thato Baloyi, Different Life‘s Impact Agent of the Month, travelled with Flying For Life to Northern Limpopo to join their mobile dental clinic. He joined them as they educated the children on good oral hygiene, and performed extractions on the children with severe toothaches.

This project is currently on Different.org and will provide one year’s worth of flights for Flying For Life to fly in doctors and dentists to provide professional health care to people who ordinarily have no access to these services. To support this project, please click the button below.
