Funding Update: SAID

Thank you! The Society for Animals in Distress (SAID) does great work within their community and their project “Saving the Lives of 300 Animals” is fully funded! With these funds, they will be able to create 300 care packages for animals needing care from within the townships surrounding Gauteng.

Q & A with LBOC Fund Bursary Beneficiaries

We were fortunate enough to spend the morning with a few of the Let’s Build Our Country (LBOC) fund bursary beneficiaries, at a Women’s Day celebration hosted by LBOC. We chatted to Duduzile (Dudu) Khumalo, Gugu Mkhonto, Thabisile Khumalo and Jabulile Radebe.

Pictures of the Week: HospiceWits

A while ago, we accompanied some of Care Workers from HospiceWits in Diepkloof, Soweto on their home visits. While there, we met Sister Lerato Mahlongo, one of the HospiceWits Care Workers.

“This job has taught me much. Before I worked for Hospice, I didn’t care much about anyone else. I learnt more about accepting myself and others as they are. Going to work every day gives me joy. Even if my day isn’t going well, I forget when I’m at work.”

These women do truly amazing work. We’re excited to be partnering with HospiceWits to help crowdfund for salaries for the Care Workers.
