Funding Update: iThemba Projects
iThemba Projects does great work within their community. Their project “Early Childhood Centres of Hope” is so close to reaching its funding amount, with only R7 974 left to raise. With the funds raised, they provide training for two teachers in an ECD centre, giving 40 disadvantaged children access to education.

Funding Update: Futurelife Foundation
Great news – Futurelife Foundation’s project is fully funded! A huge thank you to all of you who helped them reach their target amount of R49 000. These funds will go towards providing 25 children with daily, nutritious meals, as well as a mobile stationery library for the Kagisho Day Care Centre in Ritchie, Northern Cape.

Meet Mama Sibongile, the teacher at the iThemba Preschool, who has been involved in the Asidlale ECD mentoring programme since its inception. She is an amazing teacher — showing her students love and respect. They hang on her every word when she’s telling a story. Earlier this month, Mama Sibongile had a local crèche teacher come and observe her for the day. This teacher has no ECD training, but left with tangible ideas to put into practice in her own crèche. She was inspired to dream what her crèche could be like one day.
