Funding Update: Futurelife Foundation

We’re thrilled! Thank you so much to all of you who helped get this project so close to fully funded in such a short space of time! Not long until the Futurelife Foundation gets to implement a feeding project at the Kagisho Day Care Center in Ritchie in the Northern Cape. They will also provide the Day Care Center with a much-needed mobile library.

Above: Flyathon! Paper planes being launched by the St. John’s Prep School boys, dressed to the theme: “Where Do You See Yourself in 15 Years?” Prizes were awarded for furthest flight, longest time in the air and best dressed. The designer of the plane who won furthest flight overall was awarded a Power-Up.

Picture of the Week: St John’s Prep School

We so enjoyed visiting St. John’s Prep School to join them for their paper plane Flyathon, which they held last week. One of the purposes of the Flyathon was to raise awareness for Flying for Life, an NGO that flies eye surgeons to Vhembe province in Limpopo, to perform cataract surgery. On the day of the Flyathon, the Prep School boys came to school dressed to the theme: “Where Do You See Yourself in 15 Years?”, and all proceeds from the civvies day went to Flying for Life. A huge thank you to St. Johns Prep for being so willing to support this worthy cause!
