This project is raising funds to provide partnering communities in KwaZulu-Natal with safe drinking water, as well as to plant indigenous trees in community restoration areas. This will be done by bartering indigenous trees - grown by community growers - for water filtration, sanitation and storage products.

Climatic events, such as the 2022 floods illustrated the poor state of municipal water infrastructure and the need to act against the drivers of global climate change.

The WILDTRUST has a long history of growing and planting indigenous trees to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Indigenous trees, planted in the right areas pull carbon from the air and assist other efforts to prevent global temperatures from rising.
