Streetlight Schools runs an innovative, award-winning primary school in inner-city Johannesburg named by President Cyril Ramaphosa as a wonderful example.

Update: Initially, the aim of this project was to raise funding to train Streetlight Schools' staff to be able to facilitate coding lessons and to offer coding to their 300+ learners in Grades R to 5 in 2020. However, since COVID-19 struck, many of the children's families have lost their income, and providing the learners and their families with support to ensure their survival, has become a priority. The funding for this project will therefore be repurposed.

Streetlight Schools is improving access to quality education in some of the most underserved communities in South Africa, so that they may empower all South Africans to transform their lives and communities.

They have created a holistic, creative, inquiry-driven school in inner-city Johannesburg.
