SAVING ANIMALS IN DISTRESS

The Society for Animals in Distress (SAID) is a dynamic organisation offering a unique approach to animal welfare. They provide professional veterinary services to “indigent” pets in eight informal settlements in Gauteng and Tshwane who would otherwise not receive any veterinary assistance. In addition, they work with pet owners in these communities to educate them on how best to care for their pets.Different.org and SAID are partnering together to fundraise for the basic care of 300 pets – including deworming medication, tick and flea control, sterilisation, micro-chipping and vaccinations. Without this intervention the animals health would be compromised and their future uncertain.
