UPDATE: PROJECT CHANGE

The reason for this change is that Save the Children South Africa recently launched a revised strategy that includes relinquishing control of the Sizolomphakathi ECCD Centre in Tjakastad, Mpumalanga by the end of December 2020. The original Save the Children Project to deliver infrastructure to a centre that might not exist after 2020, would not be fitting for funding use. Rather, Save the Children will support the same beneficiaries and community at large, by installing four water tanks; two at a community centre and two at the neighbouring school, to support health and sanitation within the community.

Save the Children believes that all children and adolescents deserve to have a decent present and future. In South Africa and around the world, Save the Children works every day to give children a good start in life, as well as the opportunity to learn and be protected from violence or any other damage.

Save the Children makes sure that they meet their specific needs and that their voices are heard. They achieve lasting results for millions of children and adolescents, including those who are more difficult to reach.
