I believe Project Identity 2.0 is a great cause. I am doing this because...it helps the homeless to also participate in the economy and be able to retain back their lost ID's

Kudzo Foundation has established a project dubbed Project ID 2.0. This project is raising funds for their five-stage program that helps displaced individuals with the facilitation of shelter, IDs, social security, bank account activations, skills training and entrepreneurship opportunities. Through this project, Kudzo Foundation aims to eradicate homelessness and its implications on society.
Imagine a world where homelessness is but a memory. A world where poverty, unemployment and inequality are a thing of the past. Imagine a South Africa that is socially and economically inclusive to all who live in it.
A walk through Johannesburg’s metropolitan area highlights the glaring reality of homelessness in South Africa. Reasons for why and how people become homeless vary significantly. Some believe that homeless individuals choose to be homeless, or that they are criminals, lazy, alcohol- and drug-users or that they are homeless because of poor choices. However, this notion of homeless people is flawed and does not fully encapsulate the socio-economic conditions (often outside of these individuals’ control) that give rise to homelessness. Together with changing socio-economic conditions, our understanding of who this group of people is has changed.
