Goal

Many early childhood development centers (ECD centers) across the North West province do not have access to running water. This means that teachers have to spend time collecting water from a central collection point - rather than spending time with the children. JAM SA is raising funds to purchase 40 Hippo Rollers for distribution to pre-selected ECD centers in the North West. Hippo Rollers are hygienic and easily portable water barrels, which drastically reduce water collection time.

The “Hippo Water Roller Project” was established in 1994 in response to the unique needs and constraints in terms of access to water of rural women and children across Africa.
