Goal

The money raised for this project will be used to provide fire safety training for staff from day care centers in and around the Lanseria area, Johannesburg, as well as providing fire extinguishers for the day care centres.

Refilwe Community Project will be partnering with Lanseria Airport to provide fire safety training for staff from 21 day care centers in and around the Lanseria area. This will hopefully prevent injury during the winter months when township day care centers are more vulnerable to fire. Fire extinguishers will also be provided to the day care centers.

About Refilwe Community Project

Refilwe Community Project is a Christian-based community development initiative which was established to serve communities in and around the Lanseria area. Among the projects run by Refilwe are a primary health care clinic, a school, a shelter for abandoned children, an aftercare center and a skills development training programme. Refilwe Community Project's vision is to be an organization which, through the love of Jesus Christ, seeks to provide the best possible care to children in order to break the cycle of poverty and to empower the parents and individuals to become sustainable: spiritually, socially, emotionally and materially.
