Chance Children's Home is raising funds to repair and restore their swimming pool and lapa area to provide a safe and joyful environment for the children, emphasising the importance of safe outdoor spaces for recreation, physical activity, life skills, shared meals, and celebrations.
Our pool and lapa area have always been more than just a space for recreation they are a gathering place where our children laugh, learn, and form happy memories. The pool is a source of joy during hot summer days, a safe place for them to swim and play under supervision, and an important space for physical activity and life skills like water safety. The lapa area offers a shaded, welcoming spot for shared meals, celebrations, and family-style gatherings moments that create a sense of belonging and security.
Over the years, these facilities have worn down and become unsafe to use, which has been disheartening for the children. By repairing them now, we are not only restoring a part of our home but also giving our children a safe, beautiful environment to enjoy the simple joys of childhood laughter by the pool, birthday parties under the lapa, and memories that they will carry for a lifetime.
