I believe children in the Inner-City deserve to be seen and not ignored. I am doing this because I grew up with space to play and when I see kids confined in high-rise buildings or crossing busy, unsafe streets just to get to school, it breaks my heart. At Streetlight Schools, children from our inner-city not only receive a quality education, a warm meal and space to play, they also receive love and respect. In short, they are seen and not ignored.

Streetlight Schools is improving access to quality education in some of the most underserved communities in South Africa, so that they may empower all South Africans to transform their lives and communities.

They have created a holistic, creative, inquiry-driven school in inner-city Johannesburg.
