All of our brains function better when we are nourished, children especially. That is why this project is raising funds to provide 200 grade-school children attending the Ithuteng Afterschool Programmes with high-quality snacks for six months.
COVID 19 pandemic has increased the vulnerability of school-aged children. The inconsistency of school days has caused a large disruption in our children's education.
Ithuteng Afterschool Programmes as part of LIV Lanseria serves an average of 200 school-aged children a day in the Joe Slovo community in the Lanseria area. The children have a safe place to come and get educational support, a small snack, and a comforting mentor.
