This project is raising funds for dance teachers to continue their classes with the children living in Gugulethu. These classes run during the school terms from the beginning of February until the end of November each year.
In South Africa, the majority of children are born into poverty. They face almost impossible obstacles that leave them vulnerable and don’t allow them to reach their full potential. What South Africa is left with is a society of children who aren’t fully equipped with the skills to overcome these obstacles and don’t believe they can succeed. Through the medium of dance, Move For Two provides children in Gugulethu with life skills, self-confidence and purpose, so that they can move above and beyond their circumstances.
Each week, Move For Two holds dance and life skills classes as an extramural activity for children living in Gugulethu. These classes run during the school terms from the beginning of February until the end of November each year.
