COVID-19-RELATED CHANGE TO PROJECT
The nature of the change to the Just Footprints Project is necessitated by the measures imposed by the South African government in an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19 amongst its citizens and also the risk that COVID-19 poses to the beneficiaries of Just Footprints. The Just Footprints Project proposed to raise funds for T-shirts and goody bags, to be given to campers attending the Just Footprints bush camps. Due to the fact that all of the campers have, at the best of times, compromised immune systems, and also given the regulations restricting such activities as group gatherings and camping, the bush camps have been postponed. However, a more immediate need for the children supported by Just Footprints, is to have quality protective gear. Accordingly, they will distribute 500 face masks, as well as 500 visors combined with caps to make for easy wearing and additional protection.

Just Footprints Foundation was established to meet the need for unique outdoor camping experiences with intentional learning and play for children with serious health and life challenges and disabilities, from mostly disadvantaged backgrounds. They provide safe, secure, free-of-charge recreational camp programmes with the back-up support of a professional medical team.
