Funding Update: Kids Haven
Amazing news! Last week we told you about Kids Haven’s fundraising drive to raise R77,000 to provide a school bridging programme for 25 children. Thank you to all of you who have helped Kids Haven reach their target amount – we loved seeing how quickly the funding came through over the last week.
Q & A with iThemba Projects
We like getting to know the people behind the non-profit organisations that we partner with. Today, Stu Walker, Director of iThemba Projects, tells us more about running a non-profit organisation.
Picture of the Week: JAM SA
We recently went on a site visit to a community vegetable garden in Grasmere, in the south of Gauteng. The garden serves as a source of food and income for the community members who are involved with the upkeep of the garden. The gardeners, most of whom are disabled, receive gardening training from University of the Witwatersrand.
We’re excited to be partnering with Joint Aid Management South Africa (JAM SA), who oversees the garden project, to fundraise for garden-related equipment.
