Goal

The Papillon Foundation has thus far trained over a thousand child workers, including emergency and police volunteers, since 2015. The organisation is raising funding to host free trauma training workshops for those working with children and teenagers, NGO workers, teachers, community workers and emergency/ trauma workers, with the aim of building trauma-competent caregivers to assist existing counselling initiatives.

The funding will cover eight workshops to be held in Gauteng, the Eastern Cape and also the Western Cape in 2018 and 2019.

The Papillon Foundation, in partnership with Apples of Gold and LAMb International, has thus far successfully trained 300 child counsellors since 2015.
