This project is raising funds to enable National Children's Theatre to take the play Innocence Lost to many schools in Soweto to educate children in Grades 7 and 8 about the dangers of sex trafficking, how to identify sex traffickers and what to do when they are approached by would-be sex traffickers

INNOCENCE LOST PROJECT

Dubbed the "rape capital of the world" by Human Rights Watch, South Africa has some of the highest rates of gender-based violence worldwide, including rape, female homicide, and domestic abuse. Young girls are at high risk of both physical and sexual violence, and victims face consequences both in their youth and later in adulthood. In recent years, South Africa has become a hot spot for human traffickers.
