Goal

This project will provide skills training and the creation of a sustainable income for a team working in the MES LECA social enterprise project.

MES is a Christian social development organisation that facilitates professional services to vulnerable or at-risk individuals, families and communities empowering them through a holistic service model to become independent and sustainable.

LECA, one of the first Social Enterprise projects MES has embarked upon, is a brilliant platform to teach and train previously impoverished and homeless individuals.”

These herb farming skills empower the person to move on and find permanent employment as a now skilled individual.

LECA’s Social Enterprise mandate is to create a sustainable income which will make the farm less donor dependant in the long run.”

Funds raised will be used to pay stipends to the vegetable garden teams and their leaders for a year.

MES LECA (Learn.Excel.Conquer.Appreciate) is a social enterprise project which employs and empowers MES clients to live sustainable lives.
LECA has two main activities:

1: Skills training and job creation (empowering the homeless and destitute, giving them back dignity and hope in order to live sustainable lives).
