Goal

This project will provide prevention and early intervention work to keep families together and intercept at-risk children before they begin a life on the streets.

The beneficiaries of the project will be families and children in the communities in and around Benoni, which includes a number of informal settlements and inner city residents, and children and youth who are spending time on the streets

Kids Haven opened in 1992 to serve the homeless (street) children and children in crisis in the Ekurhuleni region, South Africa. Everything they do is focused on protecting these children and giving them a future.

As part of serving the children on the street, Kids Haven wishes to conduct prevention and early intervention work to keep families together and intercept at-risk children before they begin a life on the streets. This includes providing services to children and youth on the streets to encourage them to leave the streets. The beneficiaries of the project will be families and children in the communities in and around Benoni, which includes a number of informal settlements and inner city residents, and children and youth who are spending time on the streets
