A child born to a well-supported mother through healthcare education (antenatal classes), counselling, nutrition education, bonding and stimulation for their babies & toddlers has better possibilities of a hopeful future.

Ethembeni Ministry is fundraising for a Maternal Health programme - to create loving connections for children by supporting women from the start of their pregnancy for the first 1000 days (Unicef programme).

Ethembeni means hope in Zulu. The Ethembeni Ministry Maternity programme has been running for 8 years offering antenatal services in Mpophomeni and Howick to vulnerable women in the community and they now have a dedicated centre where women can come for support during and after their pregnancies.
