This project will enable a toy library to visit early childhood development centers in the Eastern Cape helping to provide quality education. 

A toy library is a high impact, cost effective, non-centre based programme that gives children, their families, early learning facilitators and early childhood development practitioners access to a collection of carefully selected educational play materials, play sessions and training on how to use the toys to encourage development. The funding of this project will enable ECD centers to benefit from a toy library in a very rural area of the Eastern Cape.

Close to 2000 children are impacted by Cotlands' early learning programme annually. These children receive an intense high quality programme that targets the cognitive, emotional and social development ensuring all developmental delays are address prior to Grade R.In addition Cotlands impacts thousands more through our toy library and mobile toy library programme.

A toy library is a high impact, cost effective, non-centre based programme that gives children, their families, early learning facilitators and early childhood development practitioners access to a collection of carefully selected educational play materials, play sessions and training on how to use the toys to encourage development.Children in under-resourced – and sometimes hard to reach communities can borrow toys for up to two weeks before swapping them out for another.
